SSI Youth Solutions – Mathematica is seeking applications that propose innovative and testable policy solutions to improve the employment outcomes of youth and young adults ages 14 to 24 who apply for or receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI). EARN – The Employer Assistance and Resource Network (EARN) is a resource for employers seeking to recruit, hire, and retain qualified employees with disabilities.

Job Accommodation Network – The Job Accommodation Network (JAN) is the leading source of free, expert, and confidential guidance on workplace accommodations and disability employment issues. Working toward practical solutions that benefit both employer and employee, JAN helps people with disabilities enhance their employability, and shows employers how to capitalize on the value and talent that people with disabilities add to the workplace.

GCPD – The Governor's Committee on People with Disabilities is within the office of the Governor. The committee's mission is to further opportunities for persons with disabilities to enjoy full and equal access to lives of independence, productivity, and self-determination. The committee is composed of 12 members appointed by the governor and of nonvoting ex officio members.

Department of Labor – The Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) is the only non-regulatory federal agency that promotes policies and coordinates with employers and all levels of government to increase workplace success for people with disabilities.

About the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR) – NIDILRR’s mission is to generate new knowledge and to promote its effective use to improve the abilities of individuals with disabilities to perform activities of their choice in the community, and to expand society’s capacity to provide full opportunities and accommodations for its citizens with disabilities..

Volunteers of America – Volunteers of America has responded to the need for quality and attentive day programming for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities with its Life Enrichment Centers. Each Life Enrichment Center offers a variety of activities designed to support participants based upon their individual needs, interests and strengths.

 

Social Security

National Disability Institute (ndi) – We’re the first and only national organization exclusively focused on the financial health and wellness of people with disabilities. Our unique and continually evolving approach allows us to be influential and to change behavior and policy at a local, state and national level.

CESSI – CESSI Division provides strategic planning, analysis, communications and operations support services for reasonable accommodation, return-to-work and accessibility support services. We help ensure individuals with disabilities and disabled veterans improve their productivity, job satisfaction and quality of life.

Ticket to Work – The Ticket to Work and Self-Sufficiency Program is an employment program for people with disabilities who are interested in going to work.

Achieve DFW – Achieve, formerly Citizens Development Center, is a non-profit organization serving more than 600 adults with severe intellectual, physical, and/or mental health disabilities annually from Dallas county and surrounding areas. We fulfill our mission through two primary programs: Community Employment Placement and Work Center/Vocational Training.

REACH – Our mission is to provide services for people with disabilities so that they are able to lead self-directed lives and to educate the general public about disability-related topics in order to promote a barrier free community.

Patriotpaws.org – The mission of Patriot PAWS is to train and provide service dogs of their highest quality at no cost to disabled American veterans and others with mobile disabilities in order to help restore their physical and emotional independence. Dallas Amputee Network – Organization whose goals are to (1) foster an active network of people that will benefit everyone to some degree, not only by providing moral support, but also through a service-oriented source of information and communication for all amputees and family members (2) present programs and resource information to update members about new materials and techniques in prosthetics, and to promote physical fitness and social interaction for a healthier lifestyle (3) provide peer visitors for new amputees in hospitals and rehab clinics, as well as models for students at UT Southwestern in Prosthetics and Physical Therapy.
